PREEN X DIVA

DIVA, 2024's blockbuster exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London features the iconic Power Dress by Preen By Thornton Bregazzi as worn to the 2007 Brit Awards by Amy Winehouse.

DIVA celebrates the power and creativity of iconic performers, exploring and redefining the role of 'diva' and how this has been subverted or embraced over time across opera, stage, popular music, and film.

Originally created for Spring Summer 07, the Power dress was born from inspiration of another 'Diva':

'Call it the Marie Antoinette effect: Skirts that stick out in panniers from the hips ... At Preen, Thea Bregazzi and Justin Thornton made theirs short and modernist...
