Isabella Davey
Isabella Rose Celeste Davey works in Designer Relations at the British Fashion Council, where her role specialises in emerging designer support. Alongside this she writes for a selection of publications and in her spare time plays in a 'wildly unsuccessful' band.
Thank you for being our Miss June! What is your personal style in 3 words?
Too many T-Shirts!
Best piece of style advice you've been given but completely ignored?
Wear comfortable shoes.
You work for the British Fashion Council in a really interesting role, what does an average day look like for you?
It totally varies, from getting the opportunity to work with incredible designers to building the London Fashion Week and London Fashion Week Men's show schedule with my brilliant colleagues to project managing NEWGEN, one of the leading support schemes for some of the most exciting creative talents. There are always a hefty amount of emails to respond to alongside, up to 150 a day, so my keyboard gets a bashing either in the morning or last thing at night.
You are also a writer! Tell us a little bit more about that.
I am lucky enough to write for the brilliant Twin magazine, and have contributed to LOVE, Harpers Bazaar Malaysia and V Magazine amongst others.
London is so full of creative talent - what do you think makes the city so special?
Creatives are like moths to the flame that is London - there is something pretty damn magnetic about this town.
Favourite place to party in London?
The Wenlock - decent beers and magnificent cheese toasties.
Last piece of clothing you gave away - and why?
Vintage baby pink leather jacket - it looked far better on my little sister Tallulah May.
What's next in the diary for Isabella Davey?
Getting to give a talk to the awesome MA students at the Royal College of Art, supporting all the show and presentations at London Fashion Week Men's, then a trip to Berlin to see some chums.
Finally, a question we ask all of our Preen Line Diaries girls: what are the top 3 tracks on your playlist right now?
Barefoot Desert - King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard: their new album is excellent.
Tieduprightnow - Parcels: my childhood neighbour's band who are killing it at the minute.
Oh Its You - Super Cat: easily listens to on a stiff repeat.
